Who we are
Tucked away in a small Tasmanian bay, Sommers Bay Distillery was born from a love of craft and place. Here, time moves a little slower. The air is clear, the water is still, and every day begins with the quiet rhythm of the coast.
In that tranquillity, we distil spirits that reflect where they come from - pure balanced, and refined. Every batch is small, every detail considered. We work with precision and purpose, guided by natures calm and the belief that true craftmanship speaks softly but leaves a lasting impression.
Sommers Bay Distillery is more than a place - it’s a mindset. A celebration of stillness, skill, and the beauty of doing one thing exceptionally well.
Our Label
We wanted our label to be simple, we chose Thomas Scott’s map of Norfolk bay and Frederick Henry Bay, 1824, as our background. It traces the shores of Norfolk Bay and for us Sommers Bay, a reminder of the quiet coves, hidden channels and the rugged coastlines that shaped this gin. This little patch of coast that taught us how to fish, sip, laugh and occasionally misbehave. This gin is our coastal spirit in a bottle.
